Hello fellow Ranch of the Rockies neighbors, I hope your summer is treating you well.
Just wanted to update you on some changes we have made to the 2020 Annual Meeting and Picnic. This year we will have the Annual Meeting as planned, it is important you attend as we have a lot of great information to talk about and of course an election to determine who will be serving on your Board of Directors.
Traditionally we have had speakers as part of the meetings activities, this year we have invited our County Commissioner, Ray Douglas from District 3, who will visit about what’s going on in the County, and Park County Sheriff Tom McGraw, who will visit about local law enforcement. As a featured topic; Hartsel Fire Protection District, Chief Tingle, and Colorado State Forester David Root will have a presentation on our new Firewise program and how Ranch of the Rockies is working on becoming a Firewise Community.
In years past we have had a potluck picnic that has followed the RORA Annual Meeting. Due to the uncertainty, and to protect the health of everyone at the Ranch, we have cancelled the potluck picnic. Instead, we are going to have breakfast pastries (individually wrapped), beverages, and other items that will be set out as self-serve treats in order to limit physical handling. The decision to make the change of the picnic was very difficult, however the Board feels this was the best alternative to preserve the safety of our members.
Please be sure to bring your lawn chairs, and your face masks. Seating will be available under the pavilion with social distancing limitations, as well as outside the pavilion on the lawn. Governor Polis’s recent executive order does not state that you must wear a mask outdoors, however the order does say it is best to wear a mask whenever you cannot keep a safe distance (at least 6 feet) from other people, and he encourages mask wearing in crowded spaces, either indoors or outdoors.
If you have any questions regarding the meeting please feel free to contact me via email@example.com
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
