Last night, on October, 22, 2021, the board met in a special meeting to appoint two members to replace recent resignations. The board voted to appoint Gina Maddox to Suzan Gebow’s unexpired term, and Phil Stice to Clay Bandy’s unexpired term. We also expressed appreciation to Ken Bellinger, Tyrene Cook, and Charles Holzheimer for their candidacy and interest in filling these terms.  These folks make up a collection of good neighbors who are dedicated to serving your interest in our community.

After the new members were appointed, we worked with about twenty-five members, both in the office and on Zoom, to prepare a draft budget for 2022. That draft was approved by the board and will be posted and circulated with the fall newsletter shortly after November 1st.  The December 11, 2021 meeting of the board will hear comments regarding the proposed budget, which will be voted on at that meeting.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the board was saddened to receive the resignation of Gary Woirhaye, current Treasurer, and board member since 2017.  Gary expressed that he needed to resign for personal reasons; but he also expressed his love for our community and the many friends he has made at Ranch of the Rockies. We will certainly miss him on the board, and look forward to seeing him again next spring after the thaw.

As a result of Gary’s resignation, the Secretary called a Special Meeting for Friday, October 29, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the office. This meeting will have only two purposes: to appoint another board member to fill the open term, and to elect new officers for this year’s term.
