RANCH OF THE ROCKIES UPDATE

Hartsel Days invite Saturday and Sunday August 2nd & 3rd

I received the following invite from the Hartsel Community Center and wanted to pass it along;

Hartsel Days is going to be bigger and better then ever! Guaranteed.

We are having our traditional pancake breakfast 8 am (Sunday) and Money Mountain for the children.? There will be a pet parade 11 am (Sunday) and costume contest for the children. And as always live music and the world dog in paradefamous parade with water works of course.

motorcycleThere will be a poker run for all you motorcycle enthusiasts, starting in Hartsel, thru Johnson Village, Nathrop, Salida and returning to Hartsel.? Should be a beautiful ride. (I don’t have more details than this)

?This year we will be sponsoring a Wounded Warriors 10K run and cycle (open to civilians also) on Saturday, August 2nd.? Start time 8:00 AM. Registration is $25-adults, $20-Military DOD, $10.00 Youth Run – 3K under 15 yrs. old.? You can pre-register at woundedwarriorstrailseries.com or day of the race. 100 percent of the proceeds support Active Duty Rehabilitating Warriors and Gold Star Family Outreach Programs.? Women Running on Track

Bingo will be held at the Community Center (Sat at 5 pm).? A classic car show, sport car parade on Saturday, family games and best of all a dunk tank with our local politicians and other “neer do goods” to dunk.? Lots of food available, rock hounding and family games.

The library is also celebrating their 15th anniversary.? They will be offering commemorative tee-shirts and commemorative cookbooks for sale.? There will also be their outstanding book and bake sale.? Sunday free cake to celebrate their anniversary. (Bake and Book sale Sat and Sunday 9-4.? Sunday there will be free cake and refreshments too)
