We still do not have any applicants for the two board positions that come open this August. The original date for nominations was Jun 15th so we can get ballots printed and in the mail. On behalf of the board, I would ask that all members consider applying to serve on the board. While serving on the board can be challenging at times it is also a valuable and rewarding volunteer and service activity. If no one submits as a candidate to run for one of the two open 3-year positions, then the board will have to request nominations to be appointed by the board. In the past, there was a lot of frustration from members with this process where they felt that the board was appointing themselves. The alternative is that members volunteer to run for one of the open positions and be voted onto the board by our other members. We can extend the date for nominations until June 20th.
