It is with great sadness that I report that Jeff Deardorff, a former board member of the ranch and very close friend died this past Friday while doing a solo climb of Crestone Needle in the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. He had summited and was on his way down when he fell. The Custer County SAR team located him Sunday 9/27 and air lifted him out. He was a great friend and very compassionate and caring to all that knew him. He was very active in the men’s bible study group on the ranch and did volunteer work down in BV. He loved climbing the fourteeners, hiking the Colorado trail, skiing, ATVing, and beer. Lol. He is survived by his wife Judy, 3 adult children and several grandchildren. He will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace.
