Welcome to May and spring.? How do we know it is spring on the Ranch?? Wind, wind and more wind!? Even so, most of the snow has melted and we are beginning to see some green grasses and plants pop up.
The open top dumpsters were a huge success.? We were also able to provide a trailer for electronics.? Hopefully, we will be able to continue to provide a way to recycle electronics when we have the open top dumpsters.? The next time for the open top dumpsters will be the second week of August, the time of the annual picnic.
The burn pit is open again this year on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing we have volunteers to oversee it.? WE NEED VOLUNTEERS.? IF YOU CAN GIVE FOUR HOURS ON EITHER A WEDNESDAY OR SATURDAY OR IF YOU AND A NEIGHBOR CAN SPLIT A DAY, PLEASE CALL JOHN AT THE OFFICE (836-2079) AND SIGN UP.? A big thank you to those who are already beginning to clean up their lots and volunteer for these shifts.
If you and a group of your neighbors are interested in helping keep the ranch roads clean and looking nice, call John and adopt a section of road or a street on the ranch for pick-up.
The pavilion and the RV dump stations are open.
Thank you for recycling your plastic and cardboard.? Please be careful with the plastics.? Medical waste such as needles/syringes cannot be recycled with regular plastic.? Those need to be recycled in special containers and the ranch does not have the ability to recycle those items.? When they are put in the plastic recycling, john has to sort it out when he dumps the trailer.? This can present a safety hazard and should not be his responsability.
Come one, Come all to the great annual chili cook-off.? May 10th is the date, so mark your calendars. There will be door prizes, lots of good chili and time to visit with your neighbors.?
