Updates on the 5th and 20th

Raising the Flagpole


Still under Stage II fire ban!!? Please be aware that the conditions are such that we are still under the fire ban.? For more info see the Ranch Manager page.? The weathermen have been promising that we will see some relief soon, but as of this writing, we are still desperately dry.

Sadly ? I am very sad to have to say that we have lost a close friend, former director and member who contributed much time and work to our Ranch.? Wednesday, July 4th, William (Bill) Buttlar passed away.? Many folks on the Ranch? knew Bill, as he was active in our organization and in the American Legion.? We would all like to extend our deepest sympathy to his wife Alice. Bill’s Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m. at the American Legion Post 55 Memorial Hall on Railroad Avenue in Buena Vista, CO.

Upcoming ? The annual meeting, board election and picnic will be here before we know it (Saturday, August 11, 2012). Please watch the newsletter for more details and an opportunity to help out.

Elections ? We are fortunate to have four candidates for the two positions that will be up for election this year.? Travis Bray, Dick Chambers, Bruce Hopmier and Brenda Whelan have all put their names in the hat.? Please take a look at your Summer Newsletter (within a few days) for more information about each of the candidates.? It is very pleasing to see the interest.

Memorial – A memorial will be held for Jim Wiederhold, who passed away a few weeks ago, at Jim’s home on Angus Cir, Saturday, July 14, 2012 starting at noon.

Website ? Things have been going well with the new site this month and I hope you are all enjoying the new and information being put forth.? If you have any problems or questions, please feel free to email me at tewells@hotmail.com and I will try to fix, or answer.

Dues ? It is that time of year again. By now everyone should have received their statement, as all were mailed early in January. In the event you have not gotten yours yet, I would suggest that you email the bookkeeper at rorahoa@ghvalley.net or send a snail-mail to the office at RORA, 492 Ranch Rd, Hartsel, CO 80449 and request a new invoice. If your mailing address or contact information has changed, please notify us, as that is the only means we have to get your billing to you timely. If you have not paid your dues yet, you will be assessed a late fee, as stated in the Policies and Procedures.
