Happy Fall Everyone!
Now that the summer has broken, there is a definite chill in the night air. I was beginning to think the autumn colors would never appear when, it seems overnight, there has been an explosion of yellow, gold and red leaves. This is truly a beautiful time of the year.
You may have noticed that we have been doing some work on one of our water storage tanks near Trout Creek Pass. During our annual inspection, it was discovered that the valve was leaking. Since that valve is about 12? underground, it was quite an undertaking to have it repaired. We contracted Maverick Construction to do the excavation and repair work, and get things straightened out. We are very fortunate that the RORA members had the foresight to install those water tanks. In the event we ever have a fire on the Ranch, these tanks will be crucial in the fire department?s efforts to address it. There are three such tanks on the Ranch of the Rockies so that one is located near all of us.
We are still looking for input on the Highway 24 entrance. If you have ideas for a new look, please contact Janet Plake, or any of the board members.? We will soon be hammering out next year?s budget, so now is the time for suggestions.
We hope you all have a pleasant autumn, and hope to see you at our next get together, the Christmas party.
Glenn
