Updates on the 5th and 20th

2015 05 19_1266

Well, it sure does not feel like we are coming up on the Memorial Day weekend! From what I have heard, this is the wettest May that we have had since 1935! The wildflowers will be spectacular.

As I am an avid hiker, it looks like my high peak hiking trips will be high peak snowshoe hikes for a while longer!

At our May meeting Dick Chambers shared information regarding a voucher program that the Park County Senior Coalitions has available to full-time residents. I have attached it to the site. Click this link for more information: Wildland Fire Mitigation Program

I realize that the board spent a lot of time sharing ideas and resources with everyone in the most recent newsletter but this was new information that we found and wanted to share with you.2015 05 19_1263

Many of our Summer residents will be returning to the Ranch and I hope you will attend one of our Board of Directors meetings on the 2nd Sat of the month so you can meet your representatives and other ROTR property owners.

Suzan Gebow
Secretary of the Board

Finally, we got some much needed snow. Like most of you, I am still digging out especially when it slid off the roof.? On Monday of last week, I set up the deck furniture and told my wife that now we would get snow. Sure enough, we did and it slid off the roof and covered everything.? I?ve lived here long enough to know, but evidently not long enough to learn.

Park County got at least a path plowed for us Friday afternoon.? Thank you.

Board elections are coming up in August. There will be two positions open.? If you are interested in running for the board. Please have your letter of interest to the board by June 1st. Include in your letter a short bio of yourself, why you wish to serve on the board, and what skills you bring to board.? I ran because I feel it is important to give back to the community.? Please think about what you can give.? The candidates? information and ballots will be printed in the summer newsletter.? You will also be able to vote at the annual meeting and picnic on August 8, 2015. If you are unsure of who to vote for or can?t attend the annual meeting and picnic, you can sign the proxy on the ballot.2012 08 10_0035

The open top dumpsters were a huge success.? They will be here again in August.

Don?t forget the chili cook off on May 10th at the pavilion.? It is always a good time to see your neighbors and taste some great chili.? Call the ranch office for more details.Bobcat

Have you ever wanted to ask an elected official a question?? Well, here?s your chance,? Mike Brazell, Park County Commissioner, will bring his Dish with the Commish to the Hartsel Community Center on April 28th at 6:30 PM.? He will provide the entr?e.? You are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
