Looking North from Spat Ct

Well, the moisture is still very scarce and we are under a fire ban at this time.? This means no open flames (i.e. campfires, charcoal grills, or brush burning) until the ban is lifted.? Hopefully we will get some monsoon activity later this month or early next month and see a little relief. To check the status of the fire ban, go to the Useful Links page for the link to the fire department website. ??

Accomplished ?The new well has been drilled, plumbed and it is functioning.? We had all the plumbing buried ten feet underground and blueboard installed under the driveways to prevent the freezing problems that have been nagging at us the last two or three years.? We are hopeful that due to the depth (501 ft) and the fact that we had filtering sand packed around the well we will no longer be plagued with the volcanic ash that was discoloring the water and plugging the filters.

Upcoming ? The annual meeting, board election and picnic will be here before we know it (Saturday, August 11, 2012). Please watch the newsletter for more details and an opportunity to help out.

Be sure to check out the Ranch Manager page for additional updates.

Elections ? At this time it appears that we will have two or three candidates for the board. Watch the newsletter for further details.

Website ? We experienced a little problem recently, when folks register for the first time, the system is supposed to send an approval message to the administrator.? Some of the plug-ins were updated and a setting was inadvertently changed, that prevented the notices from being handled properly. It has been fixed, but if you have been awaiting an approval, please send me an email tewells@hotmail.com and I will get the problem resolved.

Dues ? It is that time of year again. By now everyone should have received their statement, as all were mailed early in January. In the event you have not gotten yours yet, I would suggest that you email the bookkeeper at rorahoa@ghvalley.net or send a snail-mail to the office at RORA, 492 Ranch Rd, Hartsel, CO 80449 and request a new invoice. If your mailing address or contact information has changed, please notify us, as that is the only means we have to get your billing to you timely. If you have not paid your dues yet, you will be assessed a late fee, as stated in the Policies and Procedures.
