RANCH OF THE ROCKIES UPDATE

Updates on the 5th and the 20th

WOW! We have been living in some crazy times! Here at Ranch of the Rockies we are still practicing social distancing and masks at the office. Summer days are here, and the rain has not been enough to bring us out of the Fire Ban.

The open top dumpsters were a huge success and Saturday’s operation went quick. They filled up one dumpster rather quickly, and closed for the day. Sunday was much more productive, and I even had to post on Social media that there was still room in the second dumpster. The call was answered. We finally shut them down at approximately 2 pm when it filled up. I brought my Back Hoe up there and smashed what i could down making more room in them . Look for them again around Labor Day weekend.

Reservoir- Things are looking great at the Reservoir, and since it has been  restocked folks are getting a chance to fish there. Thank you mother nature for fixing our Reservoir.

Burn Pit- Things are going pretty smooth over at the Burn Pit, and I would like to thank the Volunteers for donating their time to man it. You are all Awesome!!

Volunteers have stepped forward to paint the picnic tables at the Pavillion in preparation for the annual meeting.

Speaking of the annual meeting, have you considered running for the Board of Directors? It is a great honor to serve your community, and have a say about what goes on around here. Just send a short Bio paragraph by June 12 to rorahoa@ghvalley.net or drop one off at the office and get your name on the Ballot.

Here we go again with fire dangers. There is a new program that is started here on the Ranch and it’s called Firewise! ! Why not get some credit for all your fire mitigation work? Stop by the office for the form and log them hours.

With the possibility of the annual picnic just around the corner, there are some preparations that need to be started. So, if I seem a little busy, jump in and lend a hand. I promise I won’t mind.

Let’s have a great start to the warmer weather and pray for rain.
